We probably could have just printed our logo on a sweatshirt.
Instead, we painted things, made patches, stitched them on by hand, and generally turned a couple perfectly good shirts into something much more complicated.
Both pieces start with Los Angeles Apparel blanks, knitted, cut, sewn, and dyed in Los Angeles, California. They're made from 100% USA-grown cotton, and they're some of the best blanks we could find.
Then they come to us in Louisville, Kentucky.
That's where we print the stencils, make and apply the patches, and do the hand stitching ourselves. A little more work than necessary, probably. But that's kind of the point.
The hoodie is a heavyweight 14 oz fleece in Vintage Black, garment dyed for a worn-in feel that should only get better with time. On the front is an oval hand-stitched patch featuring three Misc. Goods stencils painted in black. The back gets a large square screen-printed patch.
The long sleeve is a substantial 6.5 oz, 100% USA-grown cotton tee in Cement. Two Misc. Goods stencils are spray painted in red across the front, with a large square screen-printed patch on the back.
They're a little weird. A little overworked. And exactly how we wanted them.
We're making both as a limited pre-order so we can make enough for the people who want one and not a whole lot more.
